Naggar and Art & Culture Exploration -Manali to Kullu & Parvati Valley
Day 1: Arrival in Manali
- Morning:
Arrive in Manali either by road (from Delhi or Chandigarh) or by bus. If you're flying, the nearest airport is in Bhuntar (about 50 km away).
Check into your hotel or guesthouse.
Afternoon:
Local Sightseeing:
Hadimba Temple: A beautiful ancient temple surrounded by cedar forests, dedicated to Hadimba Devi.
Manu Temple: Dedicated to Sage Manu, located in Old Manali.
Vashisht Hot Springs: Relax in the natural hot water springs, known for their therapeutic properties.
Evening:
Explore Mall Road for shopping, local snacks, and cafes.
Enjoy the local cuisine at one of the many restaurants.
Day 2: Solang Valley & Rohtang Pass (if open)
- Morning:
Have an early breakfast and head to Solang Valley (12 km from Manali). Here, you can enjoy adventure sports like paragliding, zorbing, and skiing (in winter).
Afternoon:
If Rohtang Pass is open (typically from May to October), take a day trip there. This is a high-altitude mountain pass offering stunning views and snow activities.
Alternatively, if Rohtang is closed, explore the Atal Tunnel (connecting Manali to Lahaul & Spiti Valley) and enjoy the scenic drive.
Evening:
Return to Manali and relax in your hotel.
Have a leisurely dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3: Naggar and Art & Culture Exploration
Explore
Morning:
Drive to Naggar (around 22 km from Manali), a charming village known for its history and picturesque views.
Visit the Naggar Castle for panoramic views of the valley and the Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery to experience the works of the Russian painter.
Afternoon:
Explore the Roerich Art Gallery and nearby temples.
If you like, visit the Gauri Shankar Temple and explore the peaceful surroundings.
Evening:
Return to Manali and relax.
Enjoy a peaceful evening by the Beas River, take a walk or sit by the riverside
Day 4: Manali to Kullu & Parvati Valley
- Morning:
Drive to Kullu (around 40 km from Manali), a beautiful town on the banks of the Beas River.
Visit the Kullu Dussehra Temple, and explore the surrounding natural beauty.
Afternoon:
Head to Parvati Valley, famous for its stunning scenery and serene environment.
You can visit Kasol, a quaint village, and enjoy some delicious Israeli food or take a short trek to Kheerganga if you're up for adventure.
Evening:
Return to Manali, relax, and have dinner.
Day 5: Departure
- Morning:
After breakfast, check out from your hotel.
Depending on your departure time, visit any remaining local sights or do some last-minute shopping.
Afternoon:
Begin your journey back home.
